Maya Large Butterfly Seconds

All Poole Pottery is handmade, which means variations in glaze or pattern can occasionally occur. Pieces that don’t meet our strict quality standards are classed as seconds. The imperfections can vary from piece to piece, but these will always be cosmetic imperfections rather than functional ones.

Perfect for wall display, this butterfly ornament features a recessed back for simple hanging. The wings are sculpted in fine relief, adding depth and shadow for a lifelike finish. Each one is painted by hand, making every piece unique.

Inspired by wildflowers, the rolling fields, and dramatic heathlands of the English countryside , the Maya collection is made up of hand painted layers of fresh greens and inky blues using Poole’s signature reactive glaze technique.
