On the ground floor you can watch several skilled artists at work.

Alan White, our Master Potter, can be seen at his wheel throwing clay and creating unique, but classic shapes. Alan has appeared on TV many times and has been associated with Poole for over 40 years. His designs and shapes are sought after by collectors worldwide.

Graham Moss is a sprayer. This is a highly skilled job with consistency and depth of the glaze application is critical to the appearance and quality of the final product.

Jane Brewer and Nicola are two of our designers and artists. You can see Jane and Nicola at work decorating pieces of Poole Pottery. As well as helping to design new collections, they also decorate one off pieces which are available for sale in the shop on The Quay. These one off pieces are highly sought after by collectors.

Also within the studio is a kiln where the products are fired, and a selection area to check the final pieces are of good quality.

Once you have watched the experts at work, you won’t be able to resist the temptation to have a go yourself.

You are able to sit within the studio and decorate a model of your choice; creating your own masterpiece to remind you of your day.

A wide range of Pottery and homewares are available for you to purchase during your visit.

Poole Pottery has a reputation for their exquisite Cats and Dolphins. These are exclusively available to purchase within our shop on the Quay.

As well as up to 75% off high street prices for Poole Pottery, we also stock Royal Stafford Tableware, Lifestyle Products placemats, coasters and table accessories.
